Thakur Raghuveer Singh and his wife are childless and with no hope of begetting a child. He donates a big plot of land to fulfill his friend Professor Vijay Tripthi's dream to build and ideal College. Moved by Thakur's longing to rear a child and their benevolence the Professor and his wife Anju persuade them to adopt their shortly expected child. The donation of plot of land enrages Bhujbal Chowdhary as his plans of building a factory there was foiled, besides his anti-social activity of running a College was churns out students with fake diplomas and degrees, would be also hampered. He, therefore, arranges to have the Professor and his wife killed on the eve of foundation laying ceremony. While the Professor dies, his wife escapes and gives birth to a son in the old Hanuman temple. The priest hands over the child to Thakurs as per the dying mother's request. The Thakurs who were planning to adopt their MunimBalak Ram's child decide to adopt both the children. Balak Ram, who has set his evil eye on Thakur's property, time and again, tries to put an end to Professor Vijay Tripathi's son who has been named Mahavir alias Pawan in vain.

Time passes Pawan and Balak Ram's son Balbir are unaware about their real parentage. Both are students in the college run by BhujbalChowdhary. Bhujbal's sons Ranjeet and Vikram are also a part of their father's criminal activities. Pawan, unlike Balbir, shys away from the fairer sex and flees at the very mention of girls. Asha, the College Principal's daughter, is head-over heels in love with Pawan. He love brings about a metamorphosis in Pawan's life. Eventually, he falls in love with Asha and decided to tie the knot. He also comes to know about his father's unfulfilled ambition and pledges to make his father's dream a reality by constructing the proposed College at the same site. Bhujbal is furious an swears to wipe out Thakur Raghuvir, his wife, Pawan, Balbir, Asha, Principal Rana, his own brother Bhupati who turns rebel and Bhupati's daughter Seema who is in love with Balbir.
